Overview
A Patient Coordinator is responsible for performing duties professionally, assisting in day-to-day front desk operations across all offices, and collaborating with clinic staff to ensure an efficient clinic workflow. Responsible for chart pairing and insurance verification one week and one day ahead. Plan coverage when staff are out of the office. Train all new Patient Coordinators.

- Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter (in person or via phone). Greet patients promptly with a smile and thank them when they leave
- Answer phones (external and internal); assure prompt, courteous service at all times
- Practice urgency with patients’ time, as well as Doctor’s time and schedule
- Manage patient flow in the office
- Knowledge of common fees charged for visits and collect correct payments
- Complete daily reconciliations / close day / countdown cash drawer
- General office duties and cleaning as assigned by manager
- Assist in supervising Patient Services professionals, including coordinating employees’ schedules
- Collaborate with Patient Services Manager on written/conducting Patient Services professional performance evaluations
Skills and Abilities
- Reliable transportation that allows travel to multiple work locations with minimal notice
- Desire to gain industry knowledge and training
- Demonstrates initiative in accomplishing practice goals
- Ability to grow, adapt, and accept change
- Team-oriented and patient-focused; maintaining a positive work environment
- Commitment to working over 40 hours to meet the needs of the business
- Ability to interact with all levels of employees in a courteous, professional manner
- High school diploma or GED; or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
