Position OverviewThe Behavior Technician (also known as ABA Therapist) works in the in‑home setting under the direction of a Licensed Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide high‑quality clinic‑based ABA programs for children with autism. This is a part‑time position (10–25 hours per week) with a pay range of $21–27 per hour, depending on experience.
Responsibilities- Assist BCBAs in delivering ABA programs and supervising clients at home.
- Participate in a 2‑week hands‑on paid training program at our East Valley Center.
- Attend monthly virtual professional development seminars and supervised sessions with BCBAs.
- Provide ongoing support and mentorship to new clients while ensuring compliance with ABA best practices.
- At least 6 months of paid or unpaid experience working with individuals with special needs.
- Minimum age 21 years.
- Good afternoon availability (after school hours) at least 2 days per week.
- Ability to pass required background checks and other screenings.
- Physical ability to run short distances, squat, kneel, bend, sit on the floor, reach with hands and arms, and lift at least 25 pounds.
- Use of personal reliable transportation within Maricopa County and proof of insurance and registration at start of employment.
- Willingness to complete a fingerprint clearance card (Arizona Department of Public Safety).
AZA United provides extensive training and professional development. All new technicians complete a hands‑on paid training program, followed by monthly supervision and oversight sessions with BCBAs. We support obtaining national RBT certification and offer an in‑house mentoring program with a career path to BCBA.
