In-Home Caregiver: Companionship & Daily Support

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility, while promoting independence and self-respect.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce loneliness and encourage social engagement.
• Offer medication reminders and monitor well-being, following care plans carefully.
• Prepare healthy meals that accommodate dietary needs and preferences.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, cleaning, and organizing, to ensure a safe living environment.
• Collaborate with family members and care professionals to provide consistent, high-quality support.
• Document care activities accurately and report changes in client condition promptly to supervisors.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in home care, senior care, or disability support is preferred.
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to caregiving.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and families.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license to travel between client homes.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to each client’s unique needs.
