At Aegis Healthcare we are expanding our Home Health & Hospice Nursing Team s and a re seeking a dynamic and experienced individual for the role of Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant who shares our desire to make healthcare better for everyone.

COMPENSATION: $30-$35 / Hourly DOE (with Bonus Opportunity)

STATUS: Full-Time

SCHEDULE: M-F 8am – 5pm (Schedule Flexibility)

LOCATION: East Valley (Mesa / Gilbert / Apache Junction / Chandler)

As a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant at Aegis Healthcare, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional home health and end-of-life care to our patients.

Job Summary
  • Address patient's performance to support engagement in occupations that affect health, well-being, and life quality
  • Select appropriate occupational therapy treatment model, method, and approach to direct the process of interventions
  • Consults with OT regarding change in treatment.
  • Understands and adheres to established Agency policies and procedures.
  • Participates in in-service education.
  • Assists in preparing clinical and progress notes.
  • Improves or minimizes residual physical impairments of the patient.
  • Teach patient's new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components
  • Performs services planned, delegated and supervised by the OT.
  • Assess patient's home and other environments and advise on alterations consistent with their needs and capabilities
  • Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use
  • Guide and educate family members and caregivers
Desired

Skills & Qualifications
  • Graduate from a two-year college level program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association
  • Current Licensed, registered of Certified in the state of practice
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with different types of personalities
  • Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgement

    Effective verbal & written communication & time management skills
  • Valid Driver's License (clean record) & reliable transportation.
  • Proof of current auto insurance & registration
  • Valid AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card (we can help)
  • Current CPR Certification (we can help) & Negative TB Test (we can test)
