Banner Del Webb Medical Center is seeking a Behavioral Health Specialist to provide direct care to psychiatric patients under the supervision of a registered nurse. Responsibilities include safety checks, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), milieu management, falls prevention, 1-on-1 observations, and maintaining a safe therapeutic environment. The role involves monitoring patient status, documenting observations, and implementing treatment plans. Previous nursing assistant or BHT experience is preferred.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health field or a High School diploma with 1 year of direct patient care in an inpatient behavioral health setting. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required. This role may involve floating to other units as needed. Part-time and full-time day shift positions are available with weekend and holiday requirements.

As a Behavioral Health Specialist you will focus on safety checks, assisting in ADL's, Milieu management, falls prevention measures, and 1 on 1 observations. Previous nursing assistant or BHT experience is preferred. You may float to ED or medical units as companion or direct observer.

We currently have Part Time and Full Time Day Shift positions available.

Day Shift hours 7:00am-7:30pm with every third weekend requirement and holiday requirement based on holiday group assigned holidays.

You will have the opportunity to utilize our self-scheduling tool for shift and weekend coverage as well as enjoy an additional $1/hour weekend shift differential!
