Health Clinic needs a Psychiatric NP. New Grads welcome.

Pay starting at $130K and up. Relocation assistance available and sign-on bonus negotiable.

Qualifications and Experience

Required:

Masters Degree in Nursing
Substantial experience in Mental Health
Ability to analyze and assess situations and clients.
Ability to make sound judgments relating to client care.
Ability to complete accurate client record documentation.
Certification in CPR and First Aid.
Nurse Practitioner License, DEA Registration when obtained.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Initiates entry into the mental health care system.

2. Elicits a health, illness, psychosocial and family history

3. Performs physical exams

4. Orders appropriate diagnostic tests

5. Records the history, physical examination, diagnostic tests, and an evaluation of health status based on assessment data.

6. Establishes and records a plan of care.

7. Regulates and adjusts medications and treatments.

8. Monitors and records progress, evaluates plan of care and makes modifications accordingly.

9. Consults and collaborates with members of the health care team in the assessment of management of mental health problems.

10. Provides teaching and counseling aimed at prevention of illness and accident modification of risk factors to health, and maintenance of high level wellness.

11. Provides initial care of emergencies and arranges for continuing definitive care.

12. Assumes responsibility for the identification and therapeutic management of minor illnesses.

13. The employee must work well under pressure & meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines. The employee shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.

14. Able to effectively de-escalate clients using techniques as trained and outlined in approved crisis intervention models .
