RECRUITER – Full‑Time | XB Construction
Location: Mayer, Arizona
Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000 Annually
Reports To: Director of Construction
Travel: Regular travel to project sites required
Software: ZampHR, Indeed employer tools
Position Summary
XB Construction is seeking a full‑time Recruiter to lead sourcing and hiring for our construction crews. This role owns the candidate pipeline from job posting through offer, working directly with the Director of Construction and crew foremen to fill excavator operator, general laborer, and skilled trade positions across active projects. The Recruiter will manage high‑volume applicant flow, coordinate interviews with hiring managers, and ensure candidates move through the process quickly so crews stay fully staffed.
Key Responsibilities Sourcing & Pipeline Management- Source candidates for construction roles through Indeed, ZampHR, referrals, and other channels
- Manage a high‑volume applicant pipeline, screening resumes and applications for fit against job requirements
- Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date candidate records and pipeline status in ZampHR (ATS/HRIS)
- Write and post job descriptions for open construction roles, following OM's branded formatting standards
- Conduct initial phone screens to confirm qualifications, work authorization, and availability
- Coordinate interview scheduling between candidates and crew leads or the Director of Construction
- Follow up with hiring managers to secure timely feedback and keep candidates from stalling in the pipeline
- Communicate professionally with candidates at every stage, including timely rejections and offer details
- Verify work authorization and required documentation in accordance with company policy and applicable law
- Track recruiting metrics (time to fill, pipeline volume, source effectiveness) and report regularly to the Director of Construction
- Partner with the HR Director on offer letters, onboarding handoff, and consistent application of hiring policies
- 2+ years of recruiting or staffing experience; construction or skilled trades recruiting strongly preferred
- Experience managing high-volume applicant pipelines and multiple open requisitions at once
- Strong communication and follow-up skills; comfortable coordinating between field crews and office staff
- Working knowledge of an applicant tracking system (ZampHR or similar)
- Ability to travel occasionally to project sites
- Familiarity with construction roles and terminology (excavator operators, general laborers, underground utilities)
- Experience with Indeed employer tools and job posting optimization
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
