.
Job Title: Junior SDET / QA Engineer (Manual + Automation)
Location: Mesa, AZ
Work Model: Hybrid
Job SummaryWe are looking for a Junior, hands-on SDET / QA Engineer who enjoys a balanced 50/50 mix of manual and automation testing
. This role is ideal for someone early in their QA or development career with coding experience and growing exposure to test automation tools.
The candidate will work closely with developers, product owners, and QA team members in an Agile/Scrum environment
, contributing to both test execution and automation development while collaborating onsite in Mesa, AZ.
Skills & Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in QA, SDET, or software development
- Strong hands-on experience with manual testing of web applications
- Exposure to automation testing using:
- Playwright (Type Script) or
- Selenium with C#
- Coding experience in C#, .NET, or Java (automation-focused)
- Experience with Azure Dev Ops (test plans, work items, pipelines)
- Knowledge of API testing using Postman
- Basic SQL skills for data validation
- Experience with Git or similar version control tools
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and eagerness to learn
- Comfortable working onsite and collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Analyze requirements and create clear, detailed test cases
- Execute manual test cases for new features and regression testing
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts (Playwright or Selenium)
- Review automation results, debug failures, and improve test reliability
- Perform functional, regression, integration, UI, and end-to-end testing
- Collaborate with developers and business analysts to clarify requirements
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
- Log, track, and validate defects using Azure Dev Ops
- Contribute to improving overall test coverage and QA processes
- Support release validation to ensure quality standards are met
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on experience
