ERP Role and Workflow Analyst I

Salary: $67,291.74 – $97,620.22 annually

Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain system and business role-based permissions and associated workflows for the City’s ERP solution.
  • Add, change, and delete user access to ERP systems.
  • Create, modify, and remove workflow assignments in ERP systems.
  • Maintain confidentiality requirements and identify and resolve security and workflow issues.
  • Assist the user community with troubleshooting and resolution of access and workflow problems.
  • Participate in project work under the direction of a supervisor that involves business process changes and system upgrades.
  • Coordinate with DoIT ERP technical staff for testing of security and workflow modifications.
  • Update system documentation, including operating procedures for system access and workflow.
  • Perform related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications Required
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Accounting, or a closely related field; or
  • Any combination of training, education, and experience equivalent to an Associate’s Degree in the same fields, plus 1–3 years of computer systems experience in technical support for an Enterprise application, with responsibility for user administration, workflow or security role administration, or serving as a super user.
  • Alternatively, 3–5 years of similar experience.
Preferred/Desirable Qualifications
  • Graduation with a Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant fields.
  • 1–3 years of experience as a super user or in technical support for financial management, payroll, time and attendance, procurement, or human resources ERP systems.
  • Experience with reporting tools and methods for auditing, analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and recommending preventive solutions.
  • Experience developing and delivering end‑user training.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and SQL Server/SQL tool skills, including advanced SELECT statements.
ERP Role and Workflow Analyst II

Salary: $77,917.84 – $ annually

Responsibilities
  • Design, define, implement, manage, and maintain role‑based permissions and associated workflows for the City’s financial, payroll, timekeeping, HR, budgeting, and procurement ERP systems.
  • Understand city business processes and create logical job‑based roles aligned with department and user group needs.
  • Map job roles to system functions, workflows, and events to define appropriate security and access levels.
  • Perform daily system security and access configuration tasks, user administration, and workflow administration.
  • Collect and analyze information to develop job‑based roles.
  • Create and define automated ERP rule‑based workflows that provide audit trails.
  • Facilitate development and implementation of workflow strategies aligned with citywide objectives.
  • Adjust workflow processes and rules for departmental or workflow changes with appropriate approvals.
  • Assist departments in planning, procedures, and strategies for system access across multiple functions.
  • Identify and resolve workflow issues and develop exception processes for users that do not fit predefined job roles.
  • Work closely with DoIT technical and project staff and ERP vendors; test, schedule, communicate, and coordinate ERP workflow system changes via change management to ensure system stability.
  • Develop exception processes for determining system roles, access, and workflows where users do not fit into predefined job roles; prepare or update system documentation and operating procedures.
  • Perform related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications Required
  • Any combination of training, education, and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Accounting, or a closely related field, plus 3–5 years of computer systems experience providing technical support for an Enterprise application, with responsibility for user administration, workflow, or security role administration.
  • OR one year as an ERP Role and Workflow Analyst I with the City of Mesa.
