AWS Infrastructure Physical Security team seeks a highly talented and motivated Physical Security System Project Manager and Technology Expert to lead physical security projects. The role involves managing the data center physical security systems and projects, interpreting Threat Assessments and AWS Physical Security Standards to select appropriate mitigations, collaborating with architectural and engineering teams to meet AWS’s high physical security standards, and ensuring local security teams possess the technical knowledge and resources needed after implementation.

Eligibility:
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and, due to the Gov Cloud region, must be U.S. Citizens or have equivalent status. Starting May 15, 2017, logical access to the AWS Gov Cloud region will be restricted to U.S. citizens.

• Manage installation of approved physical security system hardware, including access control devices, intrusion detection devices, CCTV, and other components.
• Design physical security systems for new construction, expansion, and retrofit projects.
• Prepare security design standards, typical drawings, and technical specification documents for vendor pricing; review and provide quality assurance of vendor quotes; submit complete vendor quote packages to the Infrastructure Technical Project Manager for requisition inclusion.
• Project‑manage multiple concurrent security system installation projects and vendors.
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert for physical security system testing and acceptance, ensuring operational readiness at project completion.
• Prepare and archive project close‑out documentation.
• Report vendor performance metrics regarding system installation, service delivery, and equipment availability/reliability.

• 2+ years of overseeing security operations and working with security vendors/contractors.
• Travel up to 25% of the time.
• 2+ years’ experience in physical security project management.

• Experience with security equipment such as intrusion detection devices, access control systems, etc.
• Experience in project management, including resource planning, managing schedules, reporting project status, and prioritizing tasks for multiple projects.
• PSP, CPP, PMP Certification.
