Facilities Operations-Corp. Shift: Day (Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM). This role serves as the functional expert for key business applications, partnering with end users, IT teams, and vendors to deliver effective solutions and improve system performance.
This position provides functional expertise on moderately complex computer applications in an assigned department and may be expected to lead project teams.
The incumbent may also be expected to troubleshoot system issues at a moderately complex level and appropriately escalates issues to other resources as needed.
Tasks include creating functional documentation, participating in creating or reviewing technical documentation and training materials.
Key Responsibilities- Perform analysis of customer needs, make appropriate decisions, and provide resolution or product. Products may include online applications, electronic forms, and moderate to complex reports.
- Serve as a liaison for application users or customers, providing education, negotiation, and problem solving to deliver desired outcomes.
- Maintain optimal operation of departmental application in partnership with IT or external software vendors, including implementation, maintenance, testing, and functional design.
- Represent assigned area on project teams with regional or company scope for system implementations, policy and practice changes, and process redesign. May manage a department program for the system, including preparing and distributing worksheets and reports, and maintaining a database.
- Keep current on industry and regulatory/compliance issues within assigned areas and provide education and consultation to customers.
- In some roles, supervise staff.
- Have system-wide accountability within department or functional area; participate on system project teams and provide input on policy changes.
- Strong knowledge normally obtained through completion of a bachelor’s degree in a related business discipline or computer science.
- 3-5 years of experience working with systems, functioning as a functional "super-user" of an application in a similar department environment, or providing consultative input for application usage or design.
- Excellent working knowledge of typical word processing, spreadsheet, and/or database applications.
- Good organizational, critical-thinking, problem-solving, communication, and human-relation skills.
- Experience with system implementation and project management.
- Additional experience with specialized applications in related area.
- Additional related education and/or experience.
