Job Summary
The Director of IT & Analytics provides strategic leadership for the organization’s technology infrastructure, enterprise systems, and data analytics environment. This role ensures reliable clinical and operational technology across all practice locations while developing advanced analytics capabilities that support performance improvement, population health, revenue cycle optimization, and organizational growth. The Director partners with clinical, operational, financial, and executive leaders to transform data into actionable insights that enhance patient outcomes, efficiency, and financial performance.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Lead IT strategy, governance, and technology roadmap aligned with organizational growth.
- Oversee infrastructure across 15 clinical locations, including networks, hardware, cloud/on‑prem systems, telephony, and vendor management.
- Ensure system uptime, reliability, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
- Direct EHR optimization, clinical workflow improvements, system integrations, and quality reporting capabilities.
- Manage cybersecurity programs, HIPAA/HITECH compliance, risk assessments, and incident response.
- Build and oversee enterprise reporting, dashboards, and data warehouse environments.
- Support analytics for clinical quality, productivity, financial performance, access, referral patterns, and operational KPIs.
- Lead predictive analytics initiatives for capacity planning and demand forecasting.
- Manage and develop IT support, systems administration, and analytics/BI teams.
- Establish service level expectations and promote a culture of continuous improvement and data‑driven decision‑making.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Healthcare IT systems management and multi‑site infrastructure oversight.
- EHR optimization and clinical workflow improvement.
- Healthcare data architecture, data warehousing, and SQL‑based data modeling.
- Proficiency with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Cloud platform experience (Azure, AWS).
- Cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory compliance (HIPAA/HITECH).
- Systems integration and interoperability standards.
- Strategic thinking, project management, vendor management, and executive communication.
- Ability to lead cross‑functional technical and analytics teams.
Education /Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Healthcare Administration, or related field required.
- 8–12+ years of healthcare IT leadership experience.
- Experience managing technology across multi‑site healthcare practices.
- Demonstrated success implementing and optimizing healthcare IT systems.
- Strong background in building analytics and reporting infrastructure.
- Experience with major EHR platforms (Epic, athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Next Gen).
