Senior Analyst – Data Governance, Management

• Execute data activation activities and processes to bring data under governance, including critical data element prioritization, data mapping, identifying data management roles, documenting data, and classifying systems

• Communicate data management program requirements to federated data management teams

• Initiate training of federated data management teams on foundational processes and activities to bring data under governance

• Communicate requirements to teams that own data governance tools, such as Collibra and data quality platforms

• Develop advanced knowledge of the Enterprise Data Management Operating Policy to support data activation activities

• Support training, communications, and change management related to enterprise data governance

• Understanding of Data Management and Data Governance concepts, including metadata, lineage, data quality, and related compliance metrics
• Basic experience or knowledge of Data Governance / Data Management tools, such as Manta and Collibra
• Ability to collaborate, influence, and communicate across multiple stakeholders and leadership levels
• Excellent communication skills with ability to engage, influence, and encourage partners and stakeholders
• High degree of organization, individual initiative, results and solution orientation, personal accountability, and resiliency
• Proven track record of driving results in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity and incomplete information
• Self-motivated and proactive; ability to manage multiple assignments and projects concurrently within tight deadlines
• Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or related field
• Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the United States;

Demonstrates expertise in Data Management and Data Governance, including proficiency in tools like Collibra and Manta. Capable of effectively communicating and training stakeholders on data governance processes while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
