Systems Administrator - Manufacturing

Description

We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator to support a growing advanced manufacturing environment in the Phoenix Metro Area.

This position will support infrastructure, endpoints, identity, networking, production systems, and automation across a fast-paced on-site operation.

What You'll Be Doing

+ Deploy IT infrastructure for new operational and production areas, including hardware, endpoints, networking, identity, access, and monitoring.

+ Support and troubleshoot technology used directly within a manufacturing environment.

+ Partner with Infrastructure, Platform, Security, Engineering, and Operations teams on production systems and site infrastructure.

+ Troubleshoot production-impacting incidents and help drive root-cause resolution.

+ Administer core IT platforms including Microsoft 365, identity/SSO platforms, MDM, collaboration tools, and related systems.

+ Build and maintain SSO, SCIM, user lifecycle, group, and least-privilege access workflows.

+ Manage endpoint configuration and security across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.

+ Write scripts, APIs, and integrations that eliminate repetitive work.

+ Build internal tools and workflow automation that improve service desk and IT operations efficiency.

+ Partner with Security and Infrastructure teams on system hardening, logging, monitoring, and compliance.

+ Create clear runbooks, architecture documentation, and change records.

+ Mentor junior IT team members and serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

+ 5+ years of IT experience, including at least 2 years in systems administration, IT engineering, infrastructure, or a similar role.

+ Experience supporting technology in a manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, lab, production, or other on-site operational environment.

+ Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and modern identity/SSO platforms such as Okta, Entra , or similar.

+ Experience administering MDM and endpoint environments such as Intune, Jamf, Kandji, or similar.

+ Working knowledge of Kubernetes or containerized infrastructure, including exposure to supporting or troubleshooting nodes, workloads, or related services.

+ Strong troubleshooting skills across endpoints, identity, networking, applications, and infrastructure.

+ Scripting or programming experience using Power Shell, Python, JavaScript, Bash, or similar.

+ Experience automating IT processes or integrating systems through APIs.

+ Solid understanding of identity, access management, endpoint security, and least-privilege principles.

+ Comfort supporting Windows, macOS, and Linux.

+ Strong written communication and documentation skills.
