Job DescriptionGammage & Burnham, a well-established Arizona law firm, has an excellent opportunity for a Litigation Legal Assistant with at least three years’ experience, to join our Litigation practice group. The selected candidate will work with our commercial litigation group by maintaining and processing case information, docketing court deadlines, hearings and filing dates, managing the progression of cases to final disposition, creating electronic files, preparing and processing correspondence, and memoranda and complex legal documents.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a law firm environment and a strong understanding of Arizona state and federal court rules.

RequiredEducation & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree a plus.
- Three (3) or more years of past law firm experience and ability to demonstrate docketing knowledge.
- Advanced computer skills required with Microsoft Office, Kofax PDF, document management, and other docketing software.
- Scheduling expertise – proven ability to manage complex calendars.
- Exceptional multitasking skills – ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities efficiently without compromising accuracy or attention to detail.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Assist with editing and proofreading correspondence, pleadings, and other complex documents in draft and in final form.
- Managing electronic files.
- Docketing/Calendaring appointments, hearings and deadlines – enter, update, and maintain court dates, deadlines, and reminders in the firm’s docketing/calendaring system.
- Communicate with attorneys and staff regarding upcoming deadlines and scheduling changes.
- Research various state rules.
- Document preparation and management.
- Coordination of e‑filing of documents.
- Time entry and billing using billing software.
- Transcription of dictation.
- Electronic and face‑to‑face communications.
- Special projects, as needed.
- Knowledge of Arizona state and federal court rules and procedures strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt to fluctuations in workload and changes in responsibilities; must meet deadlines while managing competing priorities while delivering a consistent, quality work‑product to both attorneys and clients.
- Ability to develop, implement and maintain systems to promote organization and efficiency.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all records.
- Punctual and dependable.
