As we continue our rapid expansion, we are seeking an experienced Metals Category Manager to lead the sourcing strategy for raw metals and fabricated metal components that support our growing manufacturing operations.
This is a strategic role responsible for managing commodity risk, developing supplier partnerships, expanding manufacturing capacity, and driving cost competitiveness across our metals supply base.
What You'll DoAs the Electronics Category Manager, you'll be responsible for the commercial and strategic management of assigned electrical and electronic commodities.
Key Responsibilities Include- Develop and execute category strategies that improve cost, quality, delivery, and supply continuity.
- Build strategic relationships with manufacturers and authorized distribution partners.
- Lead supplier negotiations, including pricing, payment terms, lead times, and long-term agreements.
- Partner with Engineering to support new product introductions, component standardization, and value engineering initiatives.
- Monitor market conditions and supplier performance to proactively manage supply risk.
- Identify and qualify new suppliers that support capacity, growth, and business continuity.
- Drive continuous cost reduction and supplier performance improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 7+ years of strategic sourcing or category management experience supporting electrical or industrial electronic commodities.
- Experience negotiating with global manufacturers and distribution partners.
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical components, controls, and automation products.
- Proven ability to develop sourcing strategies and deliver measurable cost savings.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in HVAC, industrial equipment, electrical controls, or data center infrastructure.
- Familiarity with suppliers such as Siemens, ABB, Schneider Electric, Eaton, Phoenix Contact, Rockwell Automation, Weidmüller, WAGO, or similar industrial manufacturers.
