Position Overview:

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations of the company, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, optimizing financial processes, supporting strategic decision‑making, and overseeing HR and payroll functions. This is a confidential position that requires a high level of integrity and discretion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership in all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Monitor financial performance against established targets and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, standards, and reporting requirements.
    • Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and implement necessary changes in company procedures.
  • Financial Strategy:
    • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies that support the overall goals and objectives of the company.
  • Internal Controls:
    • Establish and maintain robust internal controls in line with High Ground’s standards and procedures, to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
    • Continuously evaluate and recommend enhancements internal control systems.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other reports as required by company leadership and High Ground.
  • Budgeting:
    • Lead the brand level budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop and manage budgets.
    • Monitor budget performance and provide guidance for cost control.
  • Manage and develop the finance team, providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the department.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance financial systems and technologies to improve efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Payroll:
    • Manage payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
    • Stay current with payroll regulations and implement necessary changes in payroll procedures.
    • Collaborate with HR to ensure seamless integration between payroll and HR functions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience working in residential services strongly preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple locations/brands.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
  • Exceptional financial analysis and modeling skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%.
