Basic Qualifications
- Possess a current Final Secret clearance with last investigation within the last 6 years.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 6 years of professional experience; or 4 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree.
- Prior scheduling experience in a military pilot or maintenance training organization with working knowledge of Service specific training processes and guidance to include pertinent government Instructions, Manuals, and syllabi related to formal syllabus training.
- Previous leadership experience leading teams and mentoring in an environment which requires interaction with multiple functional areas and leading personnel of a diverse nature.
- Experience evaluating personnel and conducting performance appraisals as well as demonstrated background of outstanding interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication abilities with a proven ability to organize, assign personnel, and work independently.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Power Point, Access and Excel).

The F‑35 Scheduling/Registrar Manager at Luke AFB, AZ leads a dedicated team of schedulers who handle all scheduling and student tracking requirements for F‑35 pilot and training. This role oversees the full spectrum of training—academics, training device, simulator, and flying mission instruction—for U.S. services, partner nations, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers. Scheduler work locations include the FTC, fighter squadrons, and the Wing Scheduling Office.
The Scheduling Manager reports to the Training Operations Logistics Program Manager and serves as the first line supervisor for all contractor schedulers. Acting as the primary liaison with squadron supervisors for scheduling support and effectiveness, the Manager assigns personnel to appropriate work sites and ensures that every team member receives the training necessary to excel in their duties.
Key Responsibilities- Mastery and utilization of the F‑35 Training Management System.
- Coordination with unit representatives and instructional leads to enroll students.
- Accurate entry and maintenance of student data in the central database.
- Scheduling of training resources—classrooms, ATC training devices, and both military and contractor instructors.
- Processing, tracking, documenting, and scheduling training activities while generating routine reports.
- Supervising the weekly schedule flow and developing training plans up to 70 days ahead of class start dates.
- Ensuring the manager and daily schedulers/registrars remain proficient with the F‑35 Training Management System and local scheduling software, providing onboarding, training, and ongoing support for new hires.
- Collaborating closely with the broader Lockheed Martin training team to meet F‑35 training objectives.
- Partnering with the F‑35 Joint Program Office (JPO) to support Resource and Scheduling Working Groups and other enterprise‑wide coordination functions, facilitating both programmed and emergent training requirements.
In addition to managerial duties, the incumbent will perform limited daily scheduling tasks as part of the FTC scheduler team.
Additional Responsibilities May Be Assigned As Needed.Travel Requirement:
The selected candidate must be willing to travel, including short term assignments to CONUS and OCONUS F‑35 training locations, to support operational needs.
- Basic knowledge of JSF Instructional System Design and previous experience using the JSF Training Management System and Learning Management System to include student training jacket management and transfer, creating ALIS IDs, and working with flexible training plans.
- Experience with Service specific training headquarters processes and instructions to include pertinent government Instruction, Manuals and syllabi related to formal syllabus pilot training.
Onsite Full‑time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
