Production Associate - Layup Technician

Overview

Willow Wood Global, in Mesa, AZ, is looking to hire a full-time Layup Technician to work in a manufacturing environment that produces prosthetic feet and components used by amputees around the world. This is a first-shift position, Monday - Friday with overtime as needed.

This position is responsible for understanding and following all work instructions to provide production and quality control measures for prosthetic components. This associate will:

• Composite Fabrication; create composite molded parts
• Follow Traveler document instructions to lay up and configure composite laminates
• Assemble and bond components and parts
• Perform post-production processing: countersinking, bonding, and finishing by filing, sanding, grinding, cleaning, cutting, deburring, trimming and hand working materials
• Maintain cycle time and pacing necessary for continuous and on-time material flow
• Follow standard document procedures, including filling out Travelers and initialing paperwork. Accurate and consistent manual and automatic data entry to ensure a complete and error-free materials and manufacturing history

• Composite experience (preferred but not required)
• Working ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Mechanically inclined, experience in working with hand tools such as cutting tools and shaping tools
• Attention to detail and accuracy while working within fast-paced production environment
