Location
This position will be primarily based out of our Mesa I facility located at 4712 S Ellsworth Rd, Mesa, AZ 85212. Though pending business needs could slide to other AZ sites.
Position Description
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for both supporting and leading continuous improvement in
the manufacturing operation. This is a hands-on position that involves significant time on the
manufacturing floor working collaboratively with all levels of production and other production
supporting departments such as Quality and Safety. This is a high visibility position that is central to
supporting a culture of continuous improvement through employee engagement. This position reports
to the Director of Manufacturing.
The Manufacturing Engineer will play a crucial role in specifying new equipment, overseeing
implementation of new equipment, and owning the ongoing support of new equipment or process
changes. Manufacturing Engineers will become Engineering Subject Matter Experts (ESME) for
designated processes and equipment. This involves developing specific knowledge around how a
process works, what its' capabilities are, and how they can be utilized most effectively in production.
We are looking for people comfortable and excited to work in a mid-sized organization where
hierarchies are limited, gap-filling is routine, and responsibilities come to those that take initiative and
support the collective effort.
Essential Responsibilities
• Specify new equipment to expand capability, capacity, and efficiency per leadership goals
• Oversee the factory acceptance testing and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment
ensuring purchased equipment meets requirements
• Develop new methods and processes for manufacturing
• Be the Engineering Subject Matter Expert for assigned manufacturing processes and equipment
• Evaluate manufacturing processes based on output quality, safety, efficiency, and resource
allocation
• Optimize production lines and machine operations by working with Engineering Technicians
and production members
• Work with Engineering Technicians and Training Coordinators to develop training for
production team members
• Ensure manufacturing processes and procedures follow safety and environmental regulations
• Oversee the rollout of new products or special projects into first run production
• Solve production challenges through engineered solutions
• Participate in Design for Manufacturing meetings
• Define tooling/machine capabilities and other manufacturing standards
• Present and lead through company values
Requirements
Position Qualifications
Required
- • Passionate about manufacturing and engineering
• Bachelor Degree in Engineering field of study or higher
• 2-10 years of professional work experience in manufacturing or engineering
• Positive, can-do attitude
• Excellent prioritization skills
• Seeks input from team members, acts decisively in the best interests of the company
• Intelligent, energetic, and high character
• Open-minded, humble and practical
• Thinks strategically. Achieves strategic goals through tactical wins.

Desired
- • Knowledgeable about metal fabrication and made-to-order custom manufacturing
• Industry experience with heat exchangers or systems that require coils
• History of success in small or mid-sized company
• CNC and traditional machining experience
• PLC and related automation experience (creation and diagnostic)
• CAD experience
• Proven project management skills
• Experience with commissioning new manufacturing equipment
