1st shift, 7am to 5pm Monday-Thursday
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in high-efficiency, sustainable HVAC solutions to hire experienced Brazing Technicians
. In this hands‑on role, you’ll play a vital part in assembling critical components that power advanced heating and cooling systems used across industries. What You’ll DoAs a Brazing Technician, your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include:
- Performing precision torch brazing on copper materials using filler metals
- Brazing 1½"–4" pipe consistently and to specification
- Completing copper‑to‑copper and copper‑to‑steel brazing assemblies
- Assembling valves and components onto compressors and evaporators
- Using power tools, hand tools, and saws to complete assembly tasks
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and shop orders
- Conducting first‑article inspections (dimensional inspection, check‑to‑print) and reporting defects
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Collaborating across shifts and departments to meet production goals
- Supporting continuous improvement and problem‑solving initiatives
- Using ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools to track production and inventory
- Cross‑training in different areas and supporting additional shifts as needed
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of torch brazing experience preferred (minimum 1 year considered)
- Strong experience with copper‑to‑copper and copper‑to‑steel brazing
- Background in torch brazing (not vacuum brazing)
- Ability to braze 1½"–4" pipe consistently
- Experience using power tools and hand tools in an assembly environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (majority of shift)
- Must be able to see the full color spectrum (not colorblind)
- Basic computer skills
- Must wear safety shoes (all other PPE provided)
- Manufacturing brazing experience (construction brazing background will be considered)
- Experience conducting first‑article inspections
- Familiarity with ERP systems in a production setting

Pay Details: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour
