Avionics Technician & Structures Technician
Location: Mesa Gateway Airport
Industry: Advanced Aerospace / Spacecraft Manufacturing
Contract: 6‑Month Contract (possible extension or conversion, not guaranteed)
Tools/PPE: Provided by client — no personal tools required
AVIONICS TECHNICIANCompensation: $30–$37/hr
Shift Differential: +$3/hr for any Saturday or Sunday worked (applied to those days only)
Shift:
- 2nd Shift: Thurs–Sun | 4:00pm–2:30am
- Install and build avionics wiring and harnesses for a full fly‑by‑wire spacecraft
- Route, tie, strip, crimp, solder, and terminate wiring
- Install avionics components (LRUs, sensors, DAUs)
- Troubleshoot electrical and avionics issues
- Use standard avionics tools (multimeter, soldering iron, crimpers, wire strippers)
- Follow detailed work instructions, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians on a fast‑paced production floor
- 3+ years avionics or aircraft electrical experience
- Experience in wiring harness installation & troubleshooting
- Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams
- Computer‑literate for digital work instructions
- Able to lift 50 lbs and wear PPE
- High school diploma or equivalent
Shifts:
- 1st Shift: Mon–Thurs | 6:00am–4:30pm
- 1st Shift: Thurs–Sun | 6:00am–4:30pm
- 2nd Shift: Mon–Thurs | 4:00pm–2:30am
Work on the unique composite bonding and structural assembly processes used to build a fly‑by‑wire spacecraft. This includes:
- Setting up assembly fixtures
- Drilling composite and metal structures (including multi‑material stack-ups)
- Fay sealing
- Installing fasteners
- Trimming, fitting, and assembling composite components
- Performing complex structural assemblies with high precision
- 3+ years of aircraft structural assembly or equivalent manufacturing experience
- Strong manual fabrication skills
- Proficiency with drills, fasteners, sealants, and precision measurements
- Knowledge of drill speeds, feed rates, and hole tolerance requirements
- Ability to identify, install, and remove common aircraft fasteners
- A&P training or certification
- LRU installation experience
- Spacecraft or advanced aerospace experience
- Lean manufacturing knowledge

This is a Contract position based out of Mesa, AZ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $37.00/hr.
