This position will be primarily based out of our Mesa I facility located at 4712 S Ellsworth Rd, Mesa, AZ 85212. Though pending business needs could slide to other AZ sites.
The Demand Planner is responsible for developing, managing and continuously improving the demand planning process to generate forecasts and ensure accuracy that supports production, procurement, inventory, financial planning and strategic business objectives. This role will leverage historical data, sales forecasts, and market data to drive accuracy while using our ERP system to support planning execution. The Demand Planner works in a team environment and is expected to collaborate with Sales/Engineering, Design, Manufacturing Engineering, Procurement, and Production team.
The ideal candidate is data driven with strong ERP expertise and extensive experience in the manufacturing environment. This position plays a critical role in sales and operations planning. This is a high visibility position that has a direct impact on growing the business. This position reports to the Senior Planning Manager.
The present scope of operations at the Arizona division covers approximately $135 million per year in shipments of custom heat exchangers, 415,000 sqft feet of manufacturing space and ~300 production workers. Our product mix is all work-center based manufacturing with a small, finished goods inventory. Product mix is mostly batch style production. The products fall into commercial and industrial sectors. Product size can vary from 10 to 10,000 pounds with quantities varying typically from 1 to 3,000.

We have recently adopted our new ERP system, setup new warehousing spaces, setting up new production spaces, preparing to keep finished goods on-hand, mobilized our first materials handling team and much more – all while growing the business.

EssentialResponsibilities
- Utilize forecasting tools to generate and adjust baseline forecasts
- Develop and maintain statistical and collaborative forecasts
- Drive enhancements in forecast accuracy and reporting
- Collaborate with planning analyst to ensure capacity alignment, consumption logic and MRP settings are properly aligned
- Coordinate with procurement to anticipate material availability and requirements
- Supply and Demand balancing reviews
- Identify root causes for forecasting variances and implement corrective actions
- Seek opportunities for continuous improvement
- Connect with the Planning Sr. Manager and manufacturing stakeholders, to ensure manufacturing priorities are being met through achievable production plans
- Identify ways to best utilize our new ERP system
- Make decisions that represent the best interest of the organization

- Support a safety culture by following all PPE and safety rules while on the production floor
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Business Operations, or similar field of study
