Utilizes welding knowledge to weld parts and components in a variety of metals to meet job requirements.
Responsibilities- Performs welding machine operations in a timely and efficient manner
- Utilizes welding fixtures to facilitate close exacting welding of all types of components, working in accordance with company/customer specifications
- Maintains work orders and welding production schedule
- Works under supervision on duties and tasks that are standardized, selecting from written instructions, and established procedures
- Completes required documents and provide supervisor with accurate daily production data
- Maintains tools and equipment in proper working order and perform preventative maintenance
- Maintains adequate supplies for welding area
- Maintains a safe, neat, and orderly work environment in order to produce products at the highest quality level
- Maintains the security and confidentiality of our customer's products and documentation
- Perform moderately complex machine operations in a timely and efficient manner
- May assist to devise and utilize fixtures to facilitate moderately close exacting welding of all types of components, working in accordance with company/customer specifications
- May work with customers on developing weld schedules and interface with Engineering as required
- Work under moderate supervision on duties and tasks that are standardized, or may be slightly customized, selecting from written instructions and established procedures
- May train and assist co-workers with determining best methods to achieve desired results in a timely manner
- High School Diploma or equivalent; 5+ years of welding experience and ability to read blueprints
- Certified to weld multiple metals
- Ability to handle multiple and frequently changing priorities
- Strong analytical skills and problem solving ability
- Capable of working with multiple and a variety of challenges
- Ability to understand blueprints and translate them into efficient work instructions
- Manual dexterity is required
- Ability to handle changing priorities
- Good analytical skills and problem solving ability
- Effective communication, both verbal and written
- Respond to written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Ability to read, write and perform basic math
- Participate in a continuous improvement activity
