Job Overview
We are seeking a Material Handler 2 to perform a variety of warehouse functions including receiving, shipping, manufacturing support, and inventory control in compliance with safety, cGMP, and quality standard operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Complete all warehousing activities (receiving, shipping, manufacturing support, inventory control) under general supervision.
- Unload, load, put away, and retrieve material using hand trucks, powered forklifts, or other handling equipment.
- Obtain or hold certification for at least one type of material handling equipment.
- Perform transactions in ERP/WMS systems (shipping, cycle counts, material receipts, shipments, etc.).
- Lookup material status/location in ERP/WMS systems.
- Use Outlook to send emails to internal partners.
- Complete basic data entry in Excel or other programs.
- Conduct a 7‑point inspection on tractor trailers prior to unloading/loading materials.
- Inspect inbound materials for damages and verify material information (part number, lot number, expiration date, quantity) against vendor paperwork and purchase orders.
- Review raw material specifications for instructions before receiving/labeling materials.
- Prepare pick lists for materials based on requests from manufacturing and/or planning.
- Pick, stage, and transact bulk and non‑bulk materials.
- Identify opportunities to improve operations and provide suggestions to supervisory staff.
- 2+ years of experience in a material handling role.
- 1 year utilizing Oracle/WMS or 2 years completing transactions in other ERP/WMS systems.
- 1+ year operating electric‑powered material handling equipment.
- Basic computer data entry skills and understanding of Microsoft Office.
- Capability to obtain a forklift certification.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong mathematical and problem‑solving skills.
