Material Handler

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Material Handler in Mesa, Arizona for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This onsite position supports material movement, inventory control, picking and kitting, and shipping and receiving operations in a production environment. The role is focused on accurate material handling, inventory integrity, and timely support for manufacturing operations.

Required Skills

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid state driver’s license with no violations
• Experience lifting 30 lbs on a regular basis
• Experience operating a box truck and forklift
• Ability to load, unload, and convey materials within a plant, yard, or work site
• Experience with picking and kitting for production use
• Ability to assist with inventory integrity through cycle count activities
• Ability to count, weigh, and record material information accurately
• Ability to use hand tools to open containers and handle materials
• U.S. citizenship required

Preferred Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• 1+ years of experience in a warehouse or stockroom environment
• Positive team player attitude

What You’ll Do

• Load, unload, and move materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site
• Pick, kit, and issue material accurately and efficiently for production use
• Support inventory integrity through cycle count schedule adherence
• Use hand trucks, forklifts, and other devices to move and stack materials
• Assist machine operators by lifting heavy objects by hand or with power hoists
• Support shipping and receiving activities
• Open containers, count and weigh materials, and record information
• Load and unload materials from pallets, trays, racks, conveyors, machines, and trucks
• Resolve routine material handling issues and escalate more complex problems as needed

Work Schedule / Shift

• Monday through Thursday
• 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Pay

• $28.71/hour
