Material Handler, Forklift Operator, Manufacturing Production
Intermediate warehousing position that is expected to complete all tasks under general supervision. Material Handler 2 performs a variety of warehouse functions including but not limited to receiving, shipping, manufacturing support, and inventory control. The position is responsible for the physical and systematic movement of material in accordance with all safety, cGMP, and quality procedures, and for transacting all material timely and maintaining required documentation.
WhereYou Come In:
- Complete warehousing activities including receiving, shipping, manufacturing support, and inventory control in compliance with Safety, cGMP, and Quality Standard Operating Procedures.
- Unload, load, put away, and retrieve material using hand trucks, powered forklifts, or other material handling equipment.
- Obtain or already hold certification on at least one type of material handling equipment.
- Perform transactions in ERP/WMS systems (e.g., shipping, cycle counts, material receipts).
- Lookup material status/location in ERP/WMS systems.
- Use Outlook to email internal partners.
- Complete basic data entry in Excel or other programs.
- Perform a 7‑point inspection on tractor trailers prior to unloading/loadings.
- Inspect inbound materials for damages.
- Verify material information (part number, lot number, expiration date, quantity) against vendor paperwork and PO.
- Review raw material specifications before receiving/labeling.
- Prepare pick lists for materials based on manufacturing or planning requests.
- Pick, stage, and transact bulk and non‑bulk materials.
- Identify opportunities to drive operational improvements and communicate suggestions to supervisory staff.
- 2+ years of experience in a material handling role.
- 1 year with Oracle/WMS or 2 years with other ERP/WMS systems.
- 1+ year operating electric‑powered material handling equipment.
- Basic computer data‑entry skills.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office.
- Capability to obtain forklift certification.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong mathematical and problem‑solving skills.
