What will I be doing?- Assist in performing regular maintenance activities on production molds.
- Support operations to achieve the production schedule.
- Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) - Preferred Education:
Completion of a Technical Degree Program in Tool & Die Mold Making, Mechanical Technology or Machining Technology - Minimum Experience:
Four years of servicing & repairing tooling/plastic injection molds. Experienced in tooling repair and providing machine support in a manufacturing environment. - Equivalent combination of education and experience.

What are your primary duties to be successful in this role?Below are the essential job tasks or primary responsibilities that the individual who holds the position must be able to perform unaided or with the assistance of an accommodation.
- Maintain plastic injection molds and equipment is in optimal running condition.
- Perform preventative mold maintenance and mold repair activities.
- Estimate mold repair times.
- Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs and troubleshooting related to tooling/molds.
- Work independently with strong technical knowledge and good communication skills.
- Read and interpret detailed technical drawings and schematics.
- Execute machining requests to drawing, sketches or part samples, when instructed.
- Operate all tool room machinery and equipment and complete final form, fit and function of mold repairs.
- Will assist with mold setups performing mold removals, reinstall and preparing molds for production startup.
- Identify molding defects on production parts and recommend solutions.
- Assure proper inventory levels of required replacement parts for all tools.
- Following all Lock Out/Tag Out rules and work instructions.
- Participate in corresponding root cause analysis, corrective actions and team problem solving activities.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping in all your assigned work areas.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate and timely records of all tool repairs and changes.
- Responsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety procedures.
- Read, use, and interpret measuring devices, gauges, and inspection tools.
Keep your own and adjacent work area clean. - Perform other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned.
This position requires to be able to access equipment to troubleshoot problems; requires continuous standing, climbing, and bending, kneeling, stooping, and crawling; lifting to 50lbs. Ability to use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or components.
Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and work in high, precarious places and where the sound and noise levels are loud and distracting. Employees are required to wear protective items such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
