Job Summary:
CNC Machinist 3 - Onsite | Mesa, AZ | 2nd Shift
About the Role
Indotronix is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist 3 to join our Armament Systems Business Unit in Mesa, AZ. This onsite, contract position offers an opportunity to work hands-on with advanced CNC machinery on a 2nd shift, Monday-Thursday, 3:00pm-1:30am (four 10-hour days). Join a high-performance team producing precision metal components for critical applications.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills to produce metal parts to exacting tolerances
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine machining requirements
- Adjust feeds, speeds, and depth of cut to ensure part quality and conformance
- De-burr and inspect all parts using standard inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gages
- Utilize machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments for layout and assembly
- Maintain a safe and clean workstation, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures
- Perform standard shop computations related to dimensions, tooling, feeds, and speeds
- Routinely maintain equipment for cleanliness and reliability
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience in a production environment
- Proficient in operating CNC lathes and mills
- Strong understanding of measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gages)
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Basic computer knowledge for work instructions and timekeeping
- Capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 35 lbs
Preferred Skills
- 8-10 years of machining experience on lathes and mills
- Lean manufacturing knowledge; ability to identify and implement process improvements
- Experience with equipment maintenance for accuracy and reliability
- Demonstrated success working collaboratively in a team environment
