Senior Maintenance Technician
This role supports the Mesa site maintenance programs, ensuring proper system operations through preventive, predictive, and corrective work. The position focuses on facility-wide industrial piping and mechanical systems, advanced troubleshooting, and problem solving related to piping and mechanical performance in field applications.
Key Responsibilities- Work safely in compliance with safety, environmental, and Facilities department policies.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair process piping, mechanical equipment, centrifugal and diaphragm pumps used in process and lab operations.
- Maintain industrial fixed, rotating, and mechanical equipment such as pumps, piping, valves, motors, and fans.
- Follow maintenance process requirements, including SAP use to identify equipment issues, obtain parts, document findings, track labor hours, and capture repair history.
- Inspect, evaluate and maintain heat exchangers and valves at the Mesa site.
- Troubleshoot process pumps, piping, and valves to confirm operability per design/manufacturing recommendations.
- Remove, replace, or repair inoperable mechanical equipment from facility-wide manufacturing systems.
- Write procedures to maintain and repair equipment as required.
- Maintain good housekeeping and quality of workmanship.
- Support and participate in EH&S, Quality, and Facilities department programs and requirements. Perform other hybrid maintenance duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Journeyman level experience in plumbing, process piping, or mechanical equipment.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of centrifugal/diaphragm pumps, lined piping, PFA/Kynar piping.
- Familiarity with the function of heat exchangers and pneumatic operated valves.
- General knowledge of SAP preferred.
- Strong computer skills (MS‑Excel, Word, Google Mail, Drive, etc.) required.
- Detail oriented, able to manage multiple tasks with input from various individuals in maintenance and engineering.
- Must have a valid Arizona driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must be able to lift up to 110 pounds.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work well with others at all levels of the organization.
- Willingness to work a standard 12‑hour shift schedule, including regular weekend schedules (alternating weekends).
- Safety‑sensitive position requiring successful completion of a post‑offer drug screening and the ability to remain alert and safe.
- In support of continuous improvement, assist the Maintenance Team as needed to accomplish the daily schedule. Training and awareness will be provided.
