Job Title: Quality Inspector
Location: Mesa, AZ
Employment Type: Temp to perm

Compensation: $20/hr + $1.50 shift differential
Schedule: Compressed night shift 6pm-6am. Must train on day shift. 6pm-6am Sunday-Wednesday with every other Wednesday off, or Wednesday-Saturday with every other Wednesday off.
Position SummaryThe Quality Inspector supports the client's manufacturing quality operations by assisting with inspection activities, reviewing production documentation, and ensuring compliance with quality standards across the solar production floor. This role guarantees that materials and finished products meet company specifications and traceability requirements.
Responsibilities- Assist with visual inspections of raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished solar components.
- Verify production travelers and manufacturing documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Support labeling verification and product traceability checks.
- Record inspection results in quality tracking systems or spreadsheets.
- Identify and report defects, inconsistencies, or documentation gaps to supervisors.
- Support containment activities for nonconforming materials.
- Assist with staging and segregation of inspected materials.
- Maintain accurate inspection logs and quality records.
- Follow SOPs and quality work instructions.
- Maintain a clean and organized inspection area.
- Perform general production-floor quality compliance activities.
- Follow all safety and PPE requirements.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a quality role.
- Experience with solar, semiconductor, electronics, or assembly manufacturing (preferred).
- Familiarity with production documentation or traceability systems.
- Experience using basic inspection tools (calipers, gauges, checklists).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation tracking.
- Ability to follow written procedures and inspection instructions.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work scheduled shifts.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift 25-40 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to perform repetitive inspection activities.
- Work in a solar manufacturing production-floor environment.
- Combination of inspection stations and line-side support.
- Use PPE as required for the assigned production area.
- Shift flexibility and overtime may be required during ramp-up periods.
