Job SummaryWe are seeking a Foreman-Pre-Cast who will work cooperatively with the Plant Manager in a pre-cast concrete environment. The Foreman Pre-Cast, under the instruction of the Plant Manager, will be called on to supervise the production of finished pieces through training and instruction (to others) and perform all of the necessary tasks required to produce finished pieces. In addition, there will be shop maintenance duties and other miscellaneous tasks as required to support the completion of the weekly production schedule and support the development of new products.
This position essentially carries forward the requirements of the Pre-Cast Associate with the added responsibility of ensuring production schedules and goals are met while maintaining quality, safety, and cost controls.
- Leadership/Supervision of 5 Pre-Cast Associates
- Performing mold prep and demolding repair if needed
- Mixing and batch set up of materials
- Applying texture coat to molds.
- Operating sprayers, pump equipment and filling molds.
- Sanding and slurry/finishing of demolded parts.
- Application of sealer to finished pieces.
- Maintaining safe working environment
- Cleaning and maintenance of shop, tools, and equipment
- Managing and maintaining materials to keep day to day production moving
- Perform quarterly and monthly inventory
- Understanding of glass fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC) machinery & equipment and/or understanding of shop tools & equipment that are cross functional to GFRC production, e.g., air driven tools & fittings, power drills, sanding apparatus.
- Capable of learning the science of concrete and the processes for casting, curing, and achieving optimal quality and performance.
