Position Overview
FUJIFILM Electronic Materials, U.S.A., Inc. – global leader in chemical solutions for semiconductor industry – is offering a Manufacturing Technician position in our Plastics group at our Mesa, AZ facility.
The RoleThe successful candidate will perform quality inspections and packing of bottles produced in the bottle manufacturing line area of our Formulated Products group.
Job DescriptionKey responsibilities for this role include:
- Inspect molded bottles from conveyor line for quality assurance.
- Make appropriate entries in quality log sheets and charts.
- Observe and manage polybags in the automatic bagging machine.
- Load flat cartons in the case erector.
- Move empty pallets as required.
- Pack bottles in re-shipper cartons.
- Stack cartons on pallets and stretch-wrap full pallets.
- Stack polybags on trays and wrap with film rolls.
- Operate pallet jack.
- Keep work area and plant floors clean and neat.
- Exhibit desire to learn and grow in other areas of the Plastics department.
- Demonstrate ability to stay at workstation and perform job assignments to ensure quality products are packaged to customers.
- Show good decision-making capabilities.
- Assist with operational, quality, and safety reviews, as assigned.
- Obtain fork truck certification to assist in inventory counts and production, as needed.
- Perform other duties, as assigned, including some production level certifications, as determined by production requirements.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 0 to 1 year of manufacturing experience.
- Forklift experience a plus.
- Ability to be fitted for and wear a respirator.
- Able to prioritize job responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Good computer skills a must, including SAP and MS Office (including Excel and Word).
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Physically able to push/pull up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to work well with others at all levels of the organization.
- Must have a valid Arizona drivers' license and clean driving record.
- This is a safety-sensitive position that requires candidates to successfully pass a post‑offer drug screening prior to employment. One of the essential job functions is the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
