CNC Machinist/Programmer III to join our growing manufacturing team. This senior-level position is responsible for programming, setting up, operating, and optimizing CNC machining centers. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong programming skills, extensive setup experience, and the ability to troubleshoot complex machining issues while mentoring less experienced machinists.

  • Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using CAM software and machine controls.
  • Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes with minimal supervision.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, engineering drawings, and CAD model.
  • Perform first article inspections and verify dimensional accuracy using precision measuring equipment.
  • Troubleshoot machining, tooling, programming, and quality issues to maximize efficiency.
  • Optimize cycle times while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Recommend process improvements that reduce cost and improve throughput.
  • Perform machine offsets, tool changes, and preventive maintenance.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Quality to resolve manufacturing challenges.
  • Train and mentor junior machinists and setup personnel.
  • Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation.
  • Follow all company safety policies and quality procedures
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical or vocational machining education preferred.
  • 6+ years of CNC programming experience.
  • Strong experience with CNC mills and/or CNC lathes.
  • Proficient with CAD/CAM and Solid Works software or similar.
  • Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Okuma, Mazak, Mitsubishi, or similar controls.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
  • Experience machining tight tolerance precision components.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
