CNC Machinist (All Levels)

Shifts:

  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
  • 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Pay Range and Other Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is expected to be between $20.00 – $29.00 per hour, depending on experience, technical skill level, shift assignment, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Position Summary:

As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining CNC equipment used to manufacture high-precision components for aerospace, defense, and other advanced manufacturing industries. Candidates with experience on Swiss CNC machines are strongly encouraged to apply; however, machinists with experience on CNC lathes, mills, or multi-axis equipment will also be considered. Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machining equipment to produce parts that meet engineering specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments, gauges, and metrology equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical specifications.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.
  • Support production goals related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Cost (SQDIC).
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives to improve efficiency and workplace organization.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and report equipment concerns to leadership.
  • Accurately document production information and maintain required records.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and quality requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience operating or setting up CNC machinery preferred.
  • Experience with Swiss CNC machines, CNC lathes, mills, multi-axis machining centers, or related equipment is a plus.
  • Entry-level candidates with machining education, technical training, or strong mechanical aptitude are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Understanding of precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to accurately complete production documentation.
  • Excellent attendance and reliability.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Swiss CNC machining experience.
  • Experience working with tight tolerances in aerospace, medical device, defense, or precision manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement principles.
  • Experience with CNC machine setup, offsets, tool changes, and troubleshooting.
