Job Description
The General Laborer assembles and builds PODs, metal workstations, and inventory shelving units on a fast-paced robotics floor. This role involves repetitive heavy lifting, frequent use of hand and power tools, and close collaboration with a team to meet production goals while maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy work environment.
ResponsibilitiesBuild and assemble PODs that hold inventory on the robotics floor according to established specifications and production targets.
Construct and assemble metal workstations and inventory shelving units using appropriate hand and power tools.
Lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment weighing up to approximately 45–50 pounds on a repetitive basis.
Work as part of a team to complete a designated number of PODs and assemblies within specific time frames.
Use hand tools such as hammers, rivet guns, and pallet jacks safely and effectively during daily tasks.
Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy work area, consistently following all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Operate in a loud, fast-paced, and sometimes chaotic environment while remaining focused on quality and productivity.
Stand and walk for extended periods of time to support continuous production activities.
Read and interpret measurements using a tape measure to ensure accurate assembly and construction.
Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and teamwork to support overall production and operational goals.
Experience performing general labor duties in construction, production, or assembly environments.
Hands‑on experience using various hand tools, including hammers, rivet guns, and tape measures.
Experience operating common power tools used in construction and assembly work.
Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure for cutting and assembling materials.
Physical capability to lift, carry, push, or pull equipment and materials up to approximately 45–50 pounds repetitively.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while performing continuous manual tasks.
Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic in prior roles.
Ability to work safely and remain safety conscious in a busy, industrial environment.
Capacity to work effectively as part of a team to meet production quotas and deadlines.
Skills & Qualifications
Experience in commercial construction or carpentry, particularly in assembly-focused roles.
Experience in production or warehouse environments with structured workflows and output targets.
Comfort working in a loud, fast-paced, and sometimes chaotic setting.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate assembly and consistent product quality.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and tasks on the floor.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn new processes and tools.
This is a Contract position based out of Mesa, AZ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
