Sanitation Associate – Food Manufacturing

We are seeking reliable and hardworking Sanitation Associates to join a growing food manufacturing team. This role is primarily focused on sanitation (approximately 70%) with additional support in production (30%).

This position involves working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, ensuring all equipment and containers are thoroughly cleaned and meet strict food safety and hygiene standards. Ideal candidates are dependable, comfortable with hands-on labor, and understand the importance of maintaining a clean and safe production environment.

Sanitation (Primary Duties – 70%)

• Collect and transport used buckets containing food byproducts (including fat) to the wash station
• Fill large wash sinks with water and degreasing solution and soak buckets to break down residue
• Scrub buckets on elevated metal wash tables to fully remove hardened fat and buildup
• Ensure all containers meet cleanliness and sanitation standards before returning to production
• Maintain cleanliness of the wash station, including managing water, debris, and slippery surfaces
• Follow all sanitation procedures in compliance with GMP and food safety guidelines

Production Support (30%)

• Assist in the production and packaging of food products
• Handle raw materials, including meat products and bones
• Operate basic production equipment and follow work instructions
• Inspect products to ensure quality standards are met
• Support team members in meeting daily production goals

Work Environment

• Food manufacturing facility with exposure to raw meat, fat, strong odors, and varying temperatures
• Sanitation work involves frequent contact with grease and wet conditions
• Floors may be wet and slippery, even with non-slip footwear
• Fast-paced, physically active environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently
• Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the entire shift
• Comfortable working in wet, greasy, and physically demanding conditions

Requirements

• Willingness to work overtime as needed
• Strong attendance and reliability
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but English is not required
