Chipton-Ross is seeking a Material Handler 2 for a contract opportunity in Mesa, AZ.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

o High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years of relevant experience.
o Must be a US Citizen.
o Valid State Driver's License with no violations.
o Experience lifting 30 lbs. on a regular basis.
o Experience operating a box truck and forklift.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Looking for a Material Handler who loads, unloads, and conveys materials within or near plant, yard, or work site, and performs a combination of tasks under specific direction which may include shipping and/or receiving. Opens containers using hand tools; counts and weighs materials and records information. Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, conveyors, and machines by hand;

loads or unloads materials into or from trucks by hand. Conveys materials using wheelbarrow, hand truck, forklift, electric dolly, elevator, or other devices; stacks or assembles materials; aids machine operators by lifting heavy objects by hand or by use of power hoist.

Job Description:

o Loads, unloads, and convey materials within or near plant, yard, or work site, and performs a combination of tasks under specific directions.
o Picking and Kitting, responsible for accurately and efficiently locating, retrieving and systemically issuing material for production use.
o Assist in the management of inventory integrity through cycle count schedule adherence.
o Conveys materials using, hand truck, forklift, or other devices; stacks or assembles materials; aids machine operators by lifting heavy objects by hand or by use of power hoist.
o Shipping and receiving. Opens containers using hand tools; counts and weighs materials and records information. Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, conveyors, and machines by hand.
o Has considerable knowledge of the job, including a broad understanding of both general and detailed aspects.
o Works under direct supervision with instructions for routine tasks and detailed guidance for new or special activities.
o Performs varied but standardized duties and some more advanced functions.
o Resolves routine questions and problems; refers complex issues to higher levels.
o Errors can be detected and corrected but may cause moderate delays or customer dissatisfaction.
o Usually communicate with colleagues within the department and occasionally with outside contacts.
o Exchanges information or data that may require some explanation or interpretation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

o Excellent verbal and written communication.
o Experience working in a warehouse / stockroom environment for 1 year or more.
o Positive team player.

REQUIRED

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or GED is required.

School must be accredited.

WORK HOURS:

4/10 workweek. On-site. 5 AM - 3:30 PM. Friday's off.
