Material Handler, Manufacturing & Industrial Operations, Forklift Operator
Job Details:
Job Location:
Mesa, AZ , OREQA Technologies is a lean, fast-paced, high-quality manufacturing operation producing industrial products for demanding markets. Material Handlers keep production moving. Every build starts with the right part, in the right quantity, at the right station, at the right time. This role is critical to our zero-defect culture: a mislabeled bin, a wrong lot, or a missed shortage can stop a cell or put a defect into a customer's hands.
The successful candidate will own the flow of material from receiving dock to production cell to shipping door, keeping inventory accurate and assembly technicians building instead of waiting.
We are looking for a self-starter who would be willing to wear multiple hats. We don't have silos. If a cell needs a line-side refill, if a truck just pulled in, if an order needs to go out today, if QA needs a suspect lot quarantined, you roll up your sleeves. Our north star:
Zero quality defects. Every product. First-pass quality. That starts with the material.
- Receive incoming shipments; verify quantities, part numbers, and lot/serial information against purchase orders and packing slips
- Perform visual inspection for damage, wrong parts, or packaging issues; flag discrepancies to purchasing and QA before material is put away
- Label, stage, and put away material in designated, clearly marked locations
- Maintain accurate inventory records; perform cycle counts and support physical inventories
- Segregate and tag nonconforming or suspect material per quarantine procedures
- Rotate Stock using FIFO and monitor expiration dates where applicable
- Pull, kit, and deliver material to assembly cells according to work orders, pick lists, and build schedules
- Replenish line-side stock using kanban or min/max signals so stations never run dry
- Verify kits are complete and correct (part number, revision, quantity, lot) before delivery
- Record material issues, moves and scrap transactions in the ERP system accurately and in real time
- Anticipate shortages by reviewing upcoming builds; elevate risks early to production lead
- Remove empty containers, scrap, and packaging from the production floor to keep cells clean and clear
- Pick, pack, and label finished goods to customer and carrier requirements
- Verify shipment contents, serial numbers, and documentation before sealing
- Prepare packing lists, bills of lading, and shipping labels; coordinate carrier pickups
- Protect product with proper packaging to prevent damage in transit
- Suggest improvements to storage layout, kitting, labeling, and material flow
- Participate in lean initiatives (5S, kanban, visual controls, point-of-use storage)
- Support cell changeovers by staging material for new products and clearing previous-build material
- Report safety concerns, equipment issues, and inventory discrepancies proactively
Assist production and QA with non-assembly tasks as needed
