The City of Mesa Office of Economic Development is looking for a creative, hands‑on marketing assistant to join our team for a limited‑time project. This short‑term role is perfect for someone who loves social media, written and visual storytelling, and supporting small business events.
What You’ll Do- Draft and schedule content for Instagram, Facebook, and Linked In
- Create simple graphics and short videos using Canva or similar tools
- Visit local businesses and city events to capture photos and video
- Support marketing team at ribbon cuttings and groundbreaking events
- Write and edit press releases related to company news or Economic Development programs
- Organize content and support campaign rollouts
- Support other duties as assigned
- Have experience in marketing, communications, or digital media
- Are comfortable both in the office and out in the community
- Know how to write and create visual content that is engaging and professional
- Can manage your time independently
- Love working on creative projects that support local business
