Position: 26 Arizona Serve VISTA - Tucson VISTA Team Leader

Arizona Serve was created in 2006 when several Yavapai County service providers saw a need to build collaboration among Ameri Corps VISTA members and their projects. Today, Arizona Serve is housed in Prescott College and currently places over 19 Ameri Corps VISTA members in Yavapai and Pima County. Arizona Serve strives to provide a growth-centered experience for IVSTA members - the VISTA Team Leader will be a key part of creating that experience.

The leader will work with Arizona Serve staff, other Team Leaders, and the VISTAs themselves to craft a quality service experience. You must have served at least one full-time Ameri Corps term previously to be eligible (VISTA, 1700 Hour, etc).

Member Duties
  • Support and

    Coaching:

    The VISTA Leader will provide coaching and support to members in monthly one-on-one meetings.
  • Facilitation:
    The VISTA Leader will help cultivate a team culture that values collaboration, creativity and excellence. They will create and facilitate engaging activities in monthly team meetings and facilitate training geared to support leadership and professional development.
  • Event Planning:
    Alongside a team of VISTA members, staff, and community partners, the VISTA leader will participate actively in planning and developing resources for annual events including National Days of Service.
  • Community Outreach and Recruitment:
    The VISTA Team Lead will share their own service experience and support development of tools for recruitment purposes. This member will also conduct outreach presentations, attend tabling events, and contribute to outreach materials and strategies.
