Schedule & Compensation

Full-time, Monday – Friday schedule with occasional evenings and weekends as needed for events and community engagement activities.

Job Summary

The Chief Philanthropy Officer (CPO) provides strategic leadership for A New Leaf’s fundraising and philanthropy initiatives. This position oversees donor engagement, fundraising strategy, philanthropic partnerships, grant and institutional funding strategies, and development operations to support organizational growth and long‑term sustainability. The CPO serves as a member of the executive leadership team and partners with the CEO, Board of Directors, donors, and community stakeholders to strengthen philanthropic support and advance the organization’s mission.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive fundraising and philanthropy strategies that support organizational growth, mission advancement, and long‑term financial sustainability.
  • Lead and manage all philanthropy functions, including annual giving, major gifts, planned giving, donor stewardship, foundation partnerships, grant and institutional funding strategies, corporate giving, campaigns, special events, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Lead the development and execution of fundraising plans, campaigns, and revenue goals aligned with organizational priorities and strategic objectives.
  • Expand and diversify philanthropic revenue streams by cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding relationships with donors, community leaders, foundations, corporations, and strategic partners.
  • Develop and monitor philanthropy revenue projections, fundraising performance outcomes, and budget goals to support organizational planning and long‑term financial sustainability.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO, Board of Directors, and executive leadership team to strengthen philanthropic engagement, maximize fundraising opportunities, and advance organizational visibility.
  • Support and engage the Board of Directors in fundraising initiatives, donor engagement activities, philanthropic strategies, and community relationship development.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and board members to identify, cultivate, and solicit major gift opportunities and strengthen donor engagement strategies.
  • Provide strategic leadership, supervision, mentorship, and performance oversight for philanthropy team members while fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional development.
  • Oversee philanthropy operations, including fundraising systems, donor database integrity, budget management, reporting, fundraising analytics, performance metrics, acknowledgment processes, and evaluation procedures.
  • Monitor fundraising trends, donor engagement metrics, and community opportunities to identify initiatives that increase philanthropic support and organizational impact.
  • Foster a culture of philanthropy throughout the organization by promoting donor‑centered practices and cross‑functional collaboration.
