Program Director

ASA Now is a nonprofit dedicated to serving children and families impacted by foster care, with work centered on Advocacy, Support, and Assistance. Now in our 10th year, we're growing our team and looking for a Director of Programs & Community Engagement to help lead that next chapter.

The Director of Programs & Community Engagement is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role responsible for our programs and events, community partnerships, and donor relationships. You'll work closely with our Chief Operating Officer to shape how ASA Now shows up for families across the community.

You’ll report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and provide regular reports to the ASA Now Board of Directors on program performance, community engagement, and progress toward annual goals.

• Lead the planning and delivery of ASA Now's programs and events, including immediate-needs assistance, family events, and parent/caregiver support groups.
• Build and grow relationships with community partners, including child welfare organizations, schools, businesses, and faith communities.
• Cultivate individual donors, sponsors, and community supporters, and help grow ASA Now's fundraising base.
• Recruit and coordinate volunteers to support programs and events.
• Manage program budgets responsibly and report on spending and outcomes.
• Provide day-to-day social media and communications coverage until a dedicated marketing role is added.
• Help hire, onboard, and manage program staff, interns, and volunteers as ASA Now grows its team.
• Represent ASA Now publicly at community events and in media opportunities.

• Strong leadership, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience coordinating programs, events, or community initiatives.
• A track record of building genuine relationships with donors, partners, or community stakeholders.
• Comfort with budgeting and responsible resource management.
• Enjoys building and improving processes, and thrives with the freedom to shape how things work.
• Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends for events and community activities.
• Experience in nonprofit work, foster care, child welfare, family services, or fundraising is strongly preferred.

• Full-time, salaried, overtime-exempt position.
• Salary range: $50,000-$55,000, commensurate with experience.
