Grants Coordinator, Part Time About Oakwood Creative Care

Oakwood Creative Care is a nonprofit dedicated to enhancing quality of life and sparking joy for older adults with cognitive and physical challenges while supporting the whole family. Through adult day health care, caregiver support, wellness services, adaptive fitness, and community programs, Oakwood helps people remain active, connected, and engaged.

The Grants Coordinator supports Oakwood’s fundraising efforts by researching opportunities, coordinating and writing applications, maintaining grant records, and preparing timely reports. This position is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented professional who enjoys writing, managing deadlines, and translating program impact into compelling funding requests.

• Research foundation, corporate, government, and other funding opportunities aligned with Oakwood’s priorities.
• Maintain a calendar of Final date to receive applicationss, reports, renewals, and follow-up activities.
• Review funding guidelines and assess Oakwood’s eligibility and alignment.

• Prepare letters of inquiry, grant applications, proposals, and supporting documents.
• Develop compelling narratives describing community needs, programs, outcomes, and impact.
• Gather program, budget, evaluation, and organizational information from staff.
• Ensure applications are accurate, complete, and submitted on time.
• Maintain commonly requested grant attachments and organizational documents.

• Track awarded grants, restricted funding, reporting deadlines, and funder requirements.
• Coordinate with program and finance staff to collect accurate information.
• Prepare progress reports, final reports, and other funder communications.
• Maintain organized grant files and accurate database records.
• Support funder stewardship, recognition, and compliance activities.

• Build strong working relationships with program, finance, philanthropy, and leadership teams.
• Help connect funding opportunities with organizational priorities.
• Assist with funder meetings, site visits, and presentations as needed.
• Strengthen systems for tracking outcomes and communicating impact.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Two or more years of experience in grant writing, fundraising, nonprofit administration, or project coordination preferred.
• Strong writing, editing, research, and proofreading skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with grant portals, donor databases, nonprofit budgets, or government grants is a plus.
• Commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, ethical fundraising, and responsible stewardship.
