Banner Heart Hospital Perianesthesia unit encompasses both the Pre Op and PACU units. These units are cross trained to support each other and are integral to the operations of the CVOR. This multi-skilled staff assist surgeons and anesthesiologists in the care of patients preparing and recovering for a variety of Cardiac and Vascular surgeries.

Our facility includes a 28 bed cardiovascular intensive care unit that specialized in the recovery of surgical patients, cardiogenic shock, and CRRT. Our 60 bed Cardiac Progressive Care Unit specializes in fast-paced procedural recovery and our 23 bed Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit specializes in surgical recovery.
Our space also includes two endovascular suites, six OR suites, six cardiac Cath labs, and three electrophysiology labs.

Shift: 4 10-hour shifts
Schedule: Days M-F
On-Call: Yes, weekends and holidays on a rotation

POSITION SUMMARYThis position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
COREFUNCTIONS
Plans care in collaboration with members of the multidisciplinary team. Reviews and revises the plan of care to reflect changing patient needs based on evaluation of the patient’s status.
