Banner Staffing Services (BSS) offers Registry/Per Diem opportunities within Banner Health. Registry/Per Diem positions are utilized as needed within our facilities. These positions are a great way to start your career with Banner Health. As a BSS team member, you are eligible to apply (at any time) as an internal applicant to any regular opportunities within Banner Health. When working Per Diem you must work at least 2 shifts a month.

As a BSS RN, you will be eligible for the Banner Bedside Commitment opportunities (Formerly Banner Travel). Banner Staffing RNs can pick up 8, 10, or 13 week commitments at a wide variety of Banner facilities in the following states:
Wyoming, Nevada, Nebraska, California, Arizona, and Colorado.

Mandatories: Registry/Per Diem positions do not have guaranteed hours and no medical benefits package is offered. Completion of post‑offer Occupational Health physical assessment, drug screen and background check (includes: employment, criminal and education) are required.

Unit Description

Bring your passion for the acute care Orthopedic population to help us achieve our mission of making healthcare easier so life can be better for the patients on the 6th floor at Banner Del

E. Webb Medical Center.
This unit serves several robust orthopedic practices and supports their patients after total joint replacements, spine surgeries and general trauma. Our unit has 21 beds serving our patient population that includes general telemetry monitored and medical patients.

This is a unique assignment‑based PRN position, meaning that this RN will be dedicated to only one specific unit at this facility. You will not float to any other unit or facility. We have opportunities for Night shift (7PM - 7:30AM) and Day shift (7AM - 7:30PM) with a 2 shift per month minimum, specific to this unit. No holiday or weekend requirement however you are welcome to pick up.

This position offers an additional flat rate weekend differential of $3/hour when applicable.

Mandatory Qualifications
  • Minimum of 18 months of RN work experience.
  • Minimum of 12 months of recent work experience on a Progressive Care Unit (within the last year and a half).
  • BLS and ACLS mandatory upon hire.
  • Mandatory full‑time week‑long orientation: virtual and in‑person training during the first week.

Position Summary

This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice. It is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others under direction. It utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.

  • Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs. Review patient history and physical with patient/family and ensure completion within appropriate timeframe. Review available information obtained by other healthcare team members. Review diagnostics and laboratory data and report abnormal results to physician(s) and other appropriate caregivers. Complete assessment and reassessments according to patient need and as outlined in policy.
  • Formulate a plan of care, including the discharge plan, utilizing assessment data and patient, family and health team input.
