The Banner Boswell MS PCU Oncology Unit consists of 22 private rooms with the ability to flex up to 42 semi‑private rooms with the capability of utilizing up to 16 remote cardiac monitors which are centrally monitored from a centrally monitored room viewing station. Eleven of our 22 private rooms are designated for Medical Oncology patients with cancer and related diagnoses and the administration of chemotherapy.

Eleven additional rooms are designated for general surgeries which can consist of urology, plastics, gynecological and abdominal cases. On our unit we can also see overflow medical patients with simple pneumonias, diabetes, renal disease, GI issues, and skin disorders.

As a nurse on our MS PCU Oncology unit you will have the opportunity to work with a highly efficient and engaged team culture working together to meet positive patient outcomes and demonstrate a Customer Obsessed work culture. Our team focus is on creating a healthy work environment through collaboration, hourly rounding, prompt answering of call lights, culture of clean and quiet, and acknowledging a “one team” mentality.

This unit participates in our Progress‑In‑Place initiative, meaning the patients cared for on our units have a variety of medical conditions, and we serve both Medical Surgical and Progressive Care acuity patients on the same unit.

This is a unique assignment‑based PRN position, meaning that you will be dedicated to just this specific unit at this facility. You will not float to any other unit or facility. We offer both Night shift hours (
7PM - 7:30AM
) and Day shift hours (7AM - 7:30PM) shift hours (with a 2 shift per month minimum and one weekend shift per schedule period requirement. This position offers an additional flat rate weekend differential of $3/hour and an 18% shift differential, when applicable.

• You must have a minimum of 18 months of RN work experience.

• You must have a minimum of 12 months of recent work experience on a Progressive Care Unit (within the last year and a half).

• BLS and ACLS is required upon hire.

• Orientation is a full time, week‑long commitment. You must be available to attend both virtual and in‑person training classes during your first week.
