NICU Travel Nurse Position
This NICU travel nurse position in Mesa, Arizona, with Advantis Medical is a 13-week Travel NICU Registered Nurse (RN) contract at Banner - Desert Medical Center. This role pays $2,266 per week and follows a Nights shift with a 3x12 schedule.
In this NICU travel nursing role, you will provide patient care in a hospital setting, assess and monitor patient conditions, support urgent interventions, document care accurately, and collaborate with physicians and the clinical care team during fast-moving patient situations.

Travel Nursing Requirements:
- 2+ years of recent NICU nursing experience
- Active Arizona RN License
Banner Desert Medical Center is a roughly 600-plus-bed tertiary acute hospital (formerly Desert Samaritan) and one of the largest hospitals in metro Phoenix's East Valley, with a co-located children's hospital on its campus. Its adult and pediatric units support trauma, cardiac, women's, and critical-care services.
- An Arizona DHS–designated Level I Trauma Center (effective 2024) and a tertiary referral center for the East Valley.
- A co-located Banner Children's at Desert (206 beds) with a PICU, pediatric heart program, pediatric ED, and NICU.
- A large cardiac program, including a CVICU within its critical-care complex.
- A Women's Health & Wellness Center with Level III obstetric and neonatal services (a 76-bed Level III NICU).
- A major East Valley cancer center, plus robotic surgery, neuroscience, and orthopedics in a teaching environment.
