Veterinary Assistant

We’re hiring a Veterinary Assistant for our growing animal hospital.

Salary: $17 - $21.50 / hour

• Assist the doctor with medical procedures under their direct supervision and build trust with clients and pets.
• Provide written and verbal communication to clients about their pet’s care, answer questions, educate on treatments, and obtain consent for treatment plans.
• Deliver WOW customer service to clients and their pets.
• Manage medical records through practice management software.
• Dispense medication, perform x‑rays, blood draws, place catheters, obtain samples, administer vaccines, provide treatments, run diagnostic equipment, and provide animal restraint when necessary.
• Set‑up, breakdown, clean, and maintain medical equipment.
• Assist with cleaning all areas of the hospital.

• Comfortable interacting with all animals with calm and compassion.
• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Able to lift at least 40 pounds.
• Certified veterinary technician (preferred).
• Associate degree in veterinary assisting (preferred).
