Quality Manager

This position is responsible for overseeing all quality-related functions across the organization, including Quality Engineering, Inspection, and Quality Technician teams. The Quality Manager plays a central role in ensuring that customer expectations are consistently met by integrating quality requirements into procurement, inspection, and product launch activities.

Working cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, and Program Management, this individual drives issue resolution, improves manufacturing outcomes, and ensures product integrity. The role also serves as the primary point of contact for customers on quality matters and represents the organization in AS9100 compliance efforts.

A major component of the role involves identifying systemic risks, analyzing performance data, and leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance both product quality and operational performance.

• Direct and coordinate the activities of quality personnel across engineering, inspection, and technician groups
• Build a high-performing team through coaching, mentorship, and accountability
• Establish development paths and succession strategies for key roles
• Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning

• Translate customer and regulatory requirements into actionable processes across departments
• Ensure adherence to applicable standards such as AS9100, ISO, IPC, and military specifications
• Maintain and strengthen the effectiveness of the organization’s Quality Management System

• Support new product launches by validating manufacturing processes and controls
• Develop and refine risk mitigation tools such as FMEAs
• Oversee calibration programs to ensure measurement accuracy and compliance

• Track and evaluate quality metrics to identify trends and performance gaps
• Apply data-driven insights and statistical analysis to maintain process control
• Lead initiatives that drive measurable improvements in quality and efficiency

• Champion structured problem-solving efforts using tools like 8D, 5 Whys, and root cause analysis
• Lead and support corrective action processes to eliminate recurring issues
• Confirm effectiveness of solutions through post-implementation performance tracking
• Act as the lead quality interface for customers, including audits and issue resolution
• Collaborate with suppliers to address quality concerns and ensure compliance
• Support source inspections and external quality assessments

• Ensure employees are properly trained on quality standards and updated requirements
• Maintain relevance of training programs in alignment with evolving technologies and customer expectations
• Contribute to additional operational or quality initiatives as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent hands‑on experience
• Minimum of 5 years in a quality-focused role, with demonstrated leadership experience
• Background working within Lean or continuous improvement-driven environments
• Strong working knowledge of quality tools such as FMEA, 8D, Fishbone, and Value Stream Mapping
• Professional certification (e.g., CQE) is a plus
• Advanced analytical, statistical, and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general data analysis tools
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interface effectively across all levels of the organization
